As it's the time of year when chicks come into their own I've been making yet more for the Easter Treat Sale at DS's school.
They are all the same this time, so much quicker to make from strip piecing than cutting and sewing individual squares. You've probably all had your fill of daffodils by now but I couldn't resist taking a picture of the ones at the bottom of our garden. The weather was so good last weekend that even the rabbit got out onto the lawn for a few hours, it's been rubbish since, cold and windy but the forecast for the weekend is sunny. We live in hope.

What a cute idea to make little chicks for the students. THey will love them. Much better idea
than candy or cake.
Fiona - they are gorgeous! Much better than those small fluffy yellow ones that you buy in the shops. Can't believe it is only about 2 weeks until Easter, and yet it is still freezing.
What a great picture of happy looking little chicks! Very cute indeed.
The chicks are darling! And I know how to make them, just never get to it! What wonderful gifts they would make!
Lovely daffodils - we are still waiting in cold Nebraska, USA, although I've seen a few on the south sides of houses -- not at my house yet, unfortunately.
Don't they all look sweet sitting that basket. I love the way you used buttons for eyes...very clever.
Those chicks look splendid in those colourways - and you can never have too many daffodils - take heart it is supposed to come milder over the weekend - thank goodness
Where could I find the directions to make these chickens? I need a project for several teen-age girls.

I never tire of them...thanks for sharing
I love those chicks, & agree, much nicer than sweets. I saw instructions for making them, but now has lost track of them?
And I never get tired of seeing Daffs!!
Sick of daffs? Impossible!
The chicks look too cute!
These are just the kind of chicks you can put all in one basket *s*
No such thing as too many daffodils.
