Seaside Quilt

I promised my DS that I would make him a quilt as I had just finished a crochet afghan for my DD and it was 'his' turn. This is what I am making - DS was very particular about the fabrics I used - definitely no flowers or girlie stuff. So I decided to make something with a seasidy feel in red, white and blue (with big squares so it gets finished quickly). I will quilt it myself on my ordinary sewing machine so it will be straight and simple!

Fiona, I really like the colors in this quilt. My DH insisted on no flowers or pastels in his quilt too! he even limited it to only three fabrics...and one of those was solid white! It is killing me to work on it.

Hi, Fiona, welcome to the blogging world. Marvelous quilt - love the plaids and the nine-patches you've thrown in there.

It may be straight and simple, but striking nevertheless. I love plaids and red, white and blue color schemes!
