Postcards

These are my first fabric postcards which I made this morning, just to see if I could! As you can see, I didn't go wild and stuck to cutting round fruit and flower prints from fabric, arranging them and then just stitched them down onto the background. They're not perfect, but I feel they're OK for a first attempt. I followed DebR's excellent instructions at Red Shoe Ramblings. I didn't know if I would take to them or not, because I am not much of a detail person - think I will try doing some as Christmas cards - yes, I know it's only May but I can't bear rushing around at the end of the year.

P.S. No rabbit hutch as yet!

Lovely - simple but effective - haven't got into postcards yet

Don't think I could bear to send them without an envelope in case they got spoilt in the PO's machinery

Nice idea for Christmas Cards though :o)

By the way Fiona - we had a sunny but very chilly day here until...................we got out the BBQ - guess what, your Leicester showers popped up here too. Just had to admit defeat and put the burgers and sausages in the oven :o( They were still good though and no black bits either which has got to be a bonus!

These are both great. I just started making postcards this year too, using the very same instructions! I had a great time, and am planning on making more.
Your edges look so nice and smooth. How did you get them to look so neat and clean?
