Am I the only one among us who has just one pincushion? I haven't posted apicture before because it is just a pincushion, nothing cute, nothing fancy, but my Mum made it for me and it does the job. Having said that, I am desperate to make some chickens like Joyce, but that will have to wait until the weekend. This week I've hardly had time to do anything in between more parents evenings, making cakes for a charity coffee morning at work and ferrying the kids here, there and everywhere.

One thing I did finish last night was this needle case. I had bought the felt when we were in Carlisle with this in mind. Since making postcards stiffened with Timtex I had thought it would be ideal to stiffen a needle case. I always worry about losing needles so there's no excuse now for not starting a hand quilting project.

Love the needle case!! I only had one until I made 2 small ones the other day. Other than keeping them in the little plastic cases they came in I just had the one. I think it's sweet that your mom made this one for you and you still use it!

One is all you need. I counted a needle case among my cushions, too. I carry pins and needles in it -- figured it qualified *s*

Ohhh my, that is the sweetest needle case ever! I love the flowers on it, they look so dimensional. I've never heard of timtex, what is it? Sounds like I'm really missing out on something.
*hugs*

Fiona, that is soooooo darling! Does the timtex make it hard to stitch through if it is stiff enough for postcards??

That is the sweetest needle case ever! And - only 1 pincushion - gosh! Actually, I had 1 for years until I made a few little hearts...

Cheers!

Wow is your needlecase beautiful! I love the colors and the flowers are so pretty!!! My needlecases are not nearly as pretty - one of woven ribbons and one made from an old necktie.

Guess I had better get on the pincushion bandwagon...

Good for you for being so productive with those finishing a crib quilt, and red and white blocks. Generous too. And you even had time to make a beautiful needlecase after cleaning. Wow. I need someof your energy. That needlecase is really beautiful. You took the time to make it pretty. I'd be afraid to stick needles in there!

Hi Fiona, your needle case is just lovely. I really do need to try something like that. I have the supplies, just never quite get around to it..*S*
And the pin cushion from your mum is so special. That's about all it has to be in my book. Hugs, Finn

Fiona - you asked about how far I was with the Liverpool players - there were 14 players in the squad including subs - I have done 10 and only have 4 left - getting there now!
