A Finish

The cot quilt is finished - big enough to last a while I hope. I had some red and white wavy stripe fabric on hand which was ideal for the backing. You can see how very simply I quilted it - but it was enough, I think, and meant I could avoid the bulky bits where 8 seams meet which would have been a recipe for disaster as far as my quilting is concerned.

Such a sweet and adorable scrappy quilt!

I recognize some Moda Nantucket fabrics. The backing is lovely too!

Fabulous quilt! How good is that backing fabric - they were made for each other. Great finish.

This is a really great quilt! You made such good fabric choices and combination choices. The binding, especially, does a wonderful job of setting everything off just perfectly. The mother of the recipient will be thrilled to pieces!

Love this quilt. The hourglass blocks remind me of the doll quilt you made me! I have been making hourglass units myself - one of my favorites!
