I finished the CW Doll Quilt and although the colours and pattern were very different from the first one it did grow on me - I see more in my future! I also found a neat label that I thought went with the era quite well. It is now on its
way to the Swap recipient. I'll post a picture of the completed quilt once she's received it.
I also got this book in the post today,
which I first saw on another blog (but sadly I cannot remember which one) and have had on my wishlist at Amazon for ages. It is so lovely, the text is in Japanese but there isn't much of it, just pages and pages of photographs of feed sack fabrics. You can see more of the content here at Amazon.

I love the colours in that quilt! And I've just scrolled down and seen that you have an allotment too! I haven't got time to stop now but I'm looking forward to reading your blog. Pop over and say hello if you get the chance. Lucy
I'm looking at your label .. and at this very moment I have finally successfully printed out 2 labels on Printed Treasures, having messed up twice with the freezer paper on muslin, messed up my hand printing with Pigma Pens, decided NOT to use my new HP Custom Quilt Label kit, etc., ad nauseum. Just cannot get the 'right' type label actually done and ON the quilt! Arghhh - making the quilt is easier than making the label these days, with so many options. So, for these 2, I'm facing them with fusible interfacing, will turn it and FUSE it down! I'm wondering if you fused yours or sewed it down.
I love the label. Don't you just love a completion...
Very well done. I still love the first one though. It is more me, happy & somehow cheery. Or perhaps more how I would like to be??
I'm with Meggie and prefer the flower one although it'll be interesting to see how your CW turns out Fiona and well done for getting it done so quickly
Look forward to seeing the front..the quilting looks good from this side..
all the best
I love your littld doll quilt! So colorful (Colorful Fiona!) I haven't seen the book in Japan yet, but I will look for it when I hit the bookstore next time I go.
The label is just right . . . can't wait to see the front.
That vintage fabric is beautiful. I want some too!
How needs the words!...The pictures are the good part anyway! Can't wait to see the front!
